Museums bring storytellers to elementary students through partnership

dhm_storytellersStudents at Camp Creek and Doak elementary schools had the opportunity recently to enjoy presentations by world-class storytellers through a partnership between the Museums of Tusculum College and the International Storytelling Center in Jonesborough. On Sept. 2, Willy Claflin, left, performed for students at Camp Creek Elementary School with his faithful puppet sidekick, Maynard the Moose, helping on some of the stories. Leeny Del Seamonds, right, told Spanish-flavored interactive stories to Doak Elementary School students Sept. 18 at the Doak House Museum.
