Spring cleaning is coming early for some students, faculty and staff at Tusculum College as the campus community prepares for a yard sale this Saturday to raise funds to benefit relief efforts in Haiti.
The public is invited to the yard sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Pioneer Gym in the Niswonger Commons on the Tusculum College campus. All proceeds from sales at the yard sale will be donated to the American Red Cross to support its relief efforts in Haiti.
Members of the campus community have donated items for the sale, which is being sponsored by the college’s Campus Security Office. The Center for Civic Advancement, the Bonner Leader student service organization and the Office of Student Affairs are assisting in the coordination of the sale. Campus Safety Officer Josh Jordan has spearheaded the effort.
Cash donations will also be accepted for the American Red Cross’ Haiti relief efforts. All donated items that are not sold will be donated to local charities.
