Pioneer Spirit Week is August 23-28
Tusculum College Pioneer Spirit Week is set for August 23-27, with activities planned on campus for each day. The events, sponsored by the Office of Institutional Advancement and the Office of Student Affairs, include a variety of ways to show your Pioneer Spirit! This year’s Spirit Week Schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, August 24 - Pioneer Spirit Sign Day! Come to the Office of Institutional Advancement, located in McCormick Hall on the third floor, to pick up your Pioneer Club Spirit Sign and enjoy a refreshing drink courtesy of the Advancement staff. Also on Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m., Student Affairs is sponsoring the International and Multicultural Society Food Fest ‘10 outside of the Student Affairs Office.
Wednesday, August 25 - The competition is on! Join in a Pioneer Scavenger Hunt for faculty, staff and students from 11:30 a.m. until noon. Max of two person teams. Register first floor of McCormick Hall at 11:15 a.m. or email ccgreene@tusculum.edu to enter. Winner(s) receive a $20 gift card to the Tusculum College Bookstore. Also that night, join Student Affairs for the “Taste of Tusculum” event for a taste of local cuisine and an opportunity to learn more about student groups, organizations and clubs on campus.
Thursday, August 26 - Ice Cream Social for faculty, staff and students. Join us in Niswonger Commons in front of the Student Affairs Office from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for ice cream and Pioneer Spirit. Thursday evening is the Bikini Tops and Flip Flops Student Pool Party at 7 p.m. in the Pioneer Pool.
Friday, August 27 - Show your Pioneer Spirit by wearing your favorite orange or black or other Tusculum College apparel. Also join Student Affairs at Fast Break Friday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. to make you Pioneer Spirit items for the football game on Saturday. Set up will be in front of Student Affairs Office in Niswonger Commons. Friday night, get ready to enjoy “Hot Tub Time Machine” during Screen on the Green at 7 p.m. in the Library Bowl. (Rain location is the Behan Arena Theater in Annie Hogan Byrd Fine Arts Building.)
Saturday, August 28 - Game Day! Show your Pioneer Spirit at the game. Pioneer Club Tailgate at Pioneer Park begins at 11:30 a.m. Student Tailgate is from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on the basketball courts at Katherine Hall. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
