Dr. Nancy B. Moody, president of Tusculum College, is pleased to announce that Ms. Susan Gray has accepted the position of executive assistant to the president. Susan will officially begin her duties on March 1.
Ms. Gray brings to the position more than 20 years of executive assistant in higher education experience, most recently serving as director of operations for the Quillen Chair of Excellence in Geriatrics and Gerontology at East Tennessee State University.
She has served in a variety of capacities at ETSU since 1993, including chief administrative liaison for the dean of medicine and the vice president for health affairs and director of Enterprise Resource Planning Services. In addition, she served as executive secretary and as administrative assistant to the president at Cleveland State Community College.
“I am very pleased to have someone with Susan’s level of experience to join us as executive assistant to the president. I am thrilled that she has chosen to become part of the Tusculum College family,” said Dr. Moody.
Ms. Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a master’s degree in public management from East Tennessee State University. She is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon National Economics Honor Society and of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Ms. Gray replaces Mrs. Carolyn Longwater who has served Tusculum College nobly for the past 12.5 years, most recently as executive assistant to the president and assistant secretary to the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Longwater will assume the duties as administrative assistant to the director of Facilities Management.
“Please join me in congratulating Carolyn on her new position, and in welcoming Ms. Susan Gray to the Tusculum College Community,” said Dr. Moody.
